For those of you who enjoy Las Vegas gambling and nightlife, Atlantic City is a great alternative vacation idea. In addition to the casinos, shopping, and nightlife, Atlantic City offers options for a relaxing vacation. Here are my tips on making Atlantic city a great vacation: 1. Visit the oldest boardwalk in existence. You can rent a bike and ride along the 4 mile path. Make sure you stop to try out some saltwater taffy at Fralinger’s, which has been operating since the late 1800s. Steel Pier is found at the end of the boardwalk and is filled with rides and game booths. 2. Many don’t realize that Atlantic City contains miles of free beaches where you can swim or dolphin watch. The Absecon Lighthouse holds a great view of the city if you are willing to climb the 228 steps. Also found here is the Atlantic City Aquarium, located in the historic Gardner’s Basin. 3. Shopping and dining are both plentiful in Atlantic City. You can find outlet centers as well as quaint shops and countless casual and fine dining options. Make sure you visit at least one buffet while you’re in town. 4. Atlantic City has been named one of the top 10 golf cities in America. If golf is your game, you’ll find lots of choices. You will find this an exciting city!
